DEAREST CHAMELEON

A different tongue for every occasion,
for every mouth you found your way
into. Those charming quotes, disguised
as passing thoughts. All the traps set
would spring, and still you would find
a way to sit, to eat the bread, to drink
the wine. To gather praise as spiders do.
